Flemington Co-op is a community based, not for profit, parent run long day care centre that caters for children from 6 months to school age.

The Flemington Childcare Group was formed in February 1978 after several families found it impossible to obtain care for their children in the Flemington area. In October 1979 the group was officially recognised as a Co-operative. The current location of 53 Wellington Street was purchased in March 1980, and in late 1981 renovations commenced. The Co-op opened to families on 22nd February 1982.

The Co-op endeavours to provide and maintain a high standard of care for your child/ren at all times. The Co-op is dedicated to meeting the needs of the families using its services and your feedback will help us improve our services. We value input and involvement from all our members.

We hope that all families feel comfortable enough to express any concerns or queries that they may have so that we can work together to address them and continually improve the quality of care we provide to the children.

It is our wish that your family’s experience with the Co-op is a positive and enjoyable one and to assist this we believe it’s important for families to be well informed. This handbook is designed to provide both current and prospective families with comprehensive information about the Co-op, its philosophy, and its various programs.
